What happens to personal records, memories, etc when someone dies?

If I post many memories and sources attached to my personal record in FamilySearch while I'm alive, what happens to those records and memories when I die? Will they be available to be searched or will the records all get locked to any public access? Thanks!

You might get some answers from this recent discussion:

Another option is to enable Family Group Trees in labs. Here is the link to the labs page. In Family Group Trees you can create a group with other living family members and share information with each other. You can learn more about it in the Family Group Trees Feedback group.

A patron in our FamilySearch Center wants to know if her personal record in FamilySearch will be, or can be, made accessible to public view after her passing.
