US, Alaska—Church Records, 1816–1970 [MQGK-XHD]
Please see entry 12 and 13. On 12 it gives a name and then says, SEE UNDER and gives another name. Do I index the first name? I am assuming that I do not because it is found somewhere else.

Same question or would the name be indexed using the OR option for the surname? In any case all other indexing for that entry would be <blank> And if the batch were mixed records rather than all births, etc

I think that the researcher will look at the original document and see the See Unders then we/she will try the alternative name for more information —- you cant really index a See Under because some of these pages are mixed entries and we don't have an Entry type which cannot be marked <blank>

Is it not a marriage cross-reference? The female's name is listed, followed by "see under" (or S U), and finished with the male's name. It's simply cross-reference - the date and any other information is listed under the male's name in alphabetical location, however if someone did not know who the woman married they would be able to look up the woman's name if it was cross-referenced. I had one where the male and female had the same last name before marriage, and as these lists are typed in alphabetical order, the two lines were (fake names here, I don't remember the Native name) one right after the other:
SMITH KATHERINE SEE UNDER KENNETH SMITH
SMITH KENNETH, KATHERINE SMITH, My 9 1883 …
