Search for Ravnica, Slovenia
Ravnica is a town and parish in Slovenia. Under Austro-Hungary it was Rauniza in Küstenland. When searching under FamilySearch Images and Catalog, the town is found both under Slovenia and Yugoslavia, but no images or documents are found. How do I find images or documents for Ravnica? Thank you.

The disimprovements to FS's Catalog search mean that one can't necessarily believe it when it says "not found", but this does not seem to be the case here: FS does not appear to have anything filmed/scanned for the parts of Slovenia that were formerly in the Austrian crown land of Küstenland. You'll have to turn to other repositories for anything more specific than general guides and inventories.
I did notice that the author of the Genealogical Gazetteer of Slovenia (of which the library in SLC has two copies) is the same as the person behind the GenTeam website (Felix Gundacker), so perhaps an inquiry to him might be fruitful.

It appears to me that the answer to your "where do I find…" question is "Not on FS", and possibly "not online (yet)".
GenTeam's gazetteer (https://www.genteam.at/en/db2?view=db&id=2) indicates that the relevant RC diocese for Rauniza/Ravnica was Koper, and Matricula-Online has material for Koper, Slovenia (https://data.matricula-online.eu/de/slovenia/koper/), but it goes up to places beginning with P and then stops. I suspect this is a symptom of not-yet-complete scanning of the registers.

Yes, but often FS has scanned images in addition to the images the content owners have scanned. Does this simply mean FS also doesn't have these images?

Thank you. I know Mr. Gundacker, his website, and his books. I have emailed the Diocesan Archives in Koper for the birth record I'm looking for, but they haven't replied yet. Do you know any other sources? Thank you.
