Incorrect Index
Good evening FamilySearch Community,
I am trying to locate a German Lutheran Burial Record from 1800. I've found the relevant entry through the search facility but the index attached to it starts from 1806. Is there any way I can find the index that encompasses 1800.
Thanks in advance.

I can't figure out what you mean by "relevant entry" and "index attached to it", nor which "search facility" you're using (Records? Catalog? something else?).
Most of the Lutheran registers from Germany are paywalled over on Archion, so you will not be able to get at the images on FS, but there are indexes here. As always with indexes, they're not complete and may be wrong. (Yesterday I dealt with one — where the image was thankfully available — that created a mother out of the father's employer's title and address.)
The various disimprovements to how FS handles placenames have made this more difficult than it used to be, but I still recommend starting with the Catalog: find the place/parish in it and look at the details of the films (or their digital descendants), and then use the relevant film/group number in Search - Records to narrow your search to things that were indexed from the right film. (Don't believe what the Catalog says about what hasn't been indexed, though: it hasn't been updated in over three years now.)
If you tell us the specifics, we may be able to offer more specific help.
