Who does the reviews of the work we index?

I've indexed over 400 names and I see that none of them have been reviewed. Why?

Hello Nancy. Thanks for your great question. Reviewers are simply other volunteers who have indexed 1000 records. Once you have indexed 1000 records, you will also see that you can choose to Index or Review. Do not be concerned that you are not seeing any of the names you have indexed been reviewed. You never will! The way the program is set up, you index the batch, then it goes on to another indexer to review your work. If they agree with most everything you've indexed (at least 20% of it), then it moves on to the next step in the publication process. If the 2nd person makes too many changes, then it goes on to a 3rd person for them to review. If no one can reach an 80% agreement or better, then the work heads off to FamilySearch teams to be reviewed. There may one day be a process where a Reviewer and an Indexer can communicate about their decisions, but, not yet.

If you aren't already a member of the group @Indexing Chat please consider joining! It is an interesting group with people asking questions and sharing answers about all the projects.
