@Penny6404 Thanks for your interest in presenting at RootsTech. At this time, we are no longer accepting proposals for 2025, but we would love to hear from you for RootsTech 2026. The call for RootsTech presenters generally opens in May and remains open for about 6 weeks. To know when the call goes out for RootsTech 2026, we suggest following RootsTech on social media, where the announcement for presenters is usually made.

Thanks for your comment! RootsTech registration opened on September 25th, but specific workshop registration and scheduling of classes will not happen until January of 2025. We recognize that last year's registration for workshops had some glitches that made it an unfair situation, and we believe we have solutions in place that will make it more equitable to reserve the limited seats in those sessions this year. For example, there will be a fee to reserve a seat for the 2025 RootsTech workshops, ensuring that all who register know that they are committing to be there and are reserving limited seating.
We will announce more details about the schedule release as time gets closer, so be sure to keep updated using RootsTech social media, blog, or the website. You can also subscribe for RootsTech updates when you register for the online or in-person conference.

I'm curious about Family Discovery Day. This blog says Saturday is Family Discovery Day, and that it's free. Yet when I go to register, so I can get the emails, as recommended,, Saturday shows as a $69 cost. One page says Saturday is Free, while another says it is $69. What am I missing?

@Katherine M Cheney Thank you for you inquiry about Family Discovery Day.
A three day full conference pass is $99
A one day conference pass is $69
And if you come for the Family Discovery Day activities on Saturday, those are free and you do not have to register

@Cheryl Gebhart and @Katherine M Cheney, there will also be some classes that are part of Family Discovery Day (along with the activities) that are free to attend. The main RootsTech conference will still be going on Saturday with usual classes and events. Those would require the one day conference pass to attend. But the Family Discovery Day parts will all be free.
