How Family Search Treats Gedcom Data

Having uploaded two 'genealogies', I have noticed that whenever the host (Family Search) is faced with a place name it doesn't know/like?, it substitutes it. So, 'Registration District: Nuneaton Union' became 'Union, Columbia'.

    That issue is not GEDCOM specific.

    The place name algorithm mangles manual entries and indexed records alike.
