merging people
How would you merge two names/people when one has no info marked living and the other has info? I am questioning Myrtle Husted 1923- L2RB-Y63 and Myrtle Husted GWWV-81T. She would be my aunt through my grandfather Clinton Greenleaf Husted and Anna Doherty. They only had 2 children Myrtle and Arnold.

And if the profile is marked living, and you can see it, then you created it and only you can see it. If the profile has no info, you can delete it, rather than merging the two.

The system won't let you merge someone who living with someone deceased. If you are sure that Myrtle is deceased, you must first change the living record to 'deceased'. You can do this by editing Myrtle's 'death' information on her front page. After doing that, you should be able to merge the records.
Here are the steps for merging two records by ID:
Hope that helps!

Thank You . Will the identifying number be changed too? Or will that make any difference? Now if I can just remember how to find them again.

If you merge, the profile you choose as the surviving profile will keep the PID it has now. You'll be able to see the details in the Merge Analysis after the merge is completed.
You've posted the profile numbers in your original post. You can use the Find by ID option or the Recents option to find those quickly again.
