Almost all the time the New York forms do not have thew word "nee". Batch [MQV4-W19] for example in the - My lawful entry…under the name of. Since the word "nee" is absent, should we always do the "or" guideline?

We give female applicants the benefits of the doubt. If Mary Jones is the applicant, but she applied under Mary Smith, her name will be indexed as Mary Smith Jones. Across all Nat projects, "nee" is scarce.

The exception to this is single women. If she was single and applied under Smythe, but came as Smith, it will be Smythe or Smith. Your batch will be Evans Or Iwanicka.

(My stepmother-in-law's sister-in-law's maiden name is Orr, and it is sometimes found written as Or….)
