Something has changed your computer's name service or hosts file settings. Maybe you are using a package that has altered the way that you access the internet.

How did that happen, and how do fix it?

Do you have the latest FTM version? Most third party applications have been upgraded recently after a tightening up of their authentication rules at the FS end.

There is a known connection issue between FamilySearch and FTM. It should be corrected when the new version of FTM is released later this year.
