Children on the Naturalization Records
I am aware that in the project instructions it says not to include any information on the children shown in the documents, so this question is more out of curiosity.
Do the children on the Naturalization Records get indexed so they can be connected to their parents? Or are they just not included at all? There's usually quite a bit of information on the records that we don't index and I'm curious why that is, such as marriage, residence, immigration dates, and children as mentioned above.

They are not included since they are not the ones seeking Naturalization and the researcher will be able to see the children on the document when he/she views it. Oftentimes, minor, foreign-born children also gained naturalization through parents, usually through the father.
What we index is determined by the record holders when they secure an indexing contract with FS. If we were to index all the information on every document in every project, we still could be stuck on WWII draft cards.0
