How do I remove an image that is attached to the wrong person
A headstone photo has been attached to the wrong person and used as a source for her burial.
The headstone is for her daughter in law who has the same first name as the mother in law. There is an 8 year difference in the death dates and the cemetery location is incorrect.

Try adding a note to the person record stating the case as you have found it, and message the contrubutor to ask them to make the correction and remove the connection to the image.

To correct the source: is this on Find a Grave? If so, in my view you will need to visit the findagrave.com website, register there if necessary, go to the relevant memorial, and use the 'Suggest Edits' button. Once the change has been implemented, the new version will eventually bubble through to FS. Otherwise, please post the URL of the relevant source so that you can be helped.
In the meantime you can detach the source from the profile (probably good to add a note to the profile about the problem, to stop others putting the erroneous attachment back in place before the source has been corrected).

I don't know if there is a correct photo for the daughter in law is on Find a Grave, I am not currently researching that branch. She the daughter in law died in Sanilac County, Michigan. Just checked there is no headstone photo on the Sanilac cemetery, just a death certificate stating she was buried there.
I do know there is no headstone for the mother in law or father in law at their likely burial location of Alton, Peel, Ontario, Canada. It is probable that the parents in law were buried at the family farm.
The incorrect headstone for the daughter in law is on the Find a Grave page for Alton Cemetery.
As part of a large combined family project I am documenting all the burials and the interrelationships between all those interred at the Alton Cemetery, currently at about 50% of the 1474 memorials and burials are properly sourced and documented.
I live about 45 minutes from the Alton Cemetery and am there regularly. The information on Find a Grave records for the family members at Alton is quite imaginative and completely wrong.
I have contacted the person who created the fictional burials and family history several times and they are unwilling to change anything.
There are 3 unconnected families with the same last name buried at the cemetery. I have researched all of those family members.
Right now I would be happy to be able to remove the incorrect image, there is no source either Find a grave or Canadian Headstones for the image given on the daughter in law's FS profile.
If you can provide information on how to remove the image from the daughter in law's FS profile that would be great, I haven't found any how to info.
Thanks

To remove an erroneous Find a Grave memorial from your relative's Family Tree profile, just find the relevant source on the profile Sources tab and take the option to detach it, unless I am interpreting the problem wrong?

Apologies, I thought you said it was a burial event source.
The help text says there should be a Detach from Family Tree button for you to use from the Memory, but I can't find it, can someone else help please.

If the photo is tagged to your ancestor in error, you can remove the tag: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-edit-or-delete-person-tags-in-memories
