Hello, I am new at sending info in this area. I have been doing Indexing work only in Spanish Indexing if any one is able to help me on the marriages would be great. I see a records of couples getting married but sometimes one or both of the groom or bride are widows and I don't know if you have anything like this in the English record. But do I make a different record of the deceased ex or should I just ignore it??

@Mora, Myra Carlota All of the marriage-indexing projects and marriage indexes I've seen do not have any fields for "deceased prior spouse". Actually that is useful information, and I would be in favor of including such a field in a new marriage-indexing project (or going back and adding it as a different "part" on an already-completed one); but don't make an additional "entry" for that information.

On the other hand, death-indexes typically have fields for "spouse", which I fill in whether the decedent is a widow or widower or survived by the named person.
