Help with probate record
I am seeking help in translating this probate record for Kirstin Larsdotter (KPWX-Q1X). I can pick out the names and a few relationships, but I would love to know more about what is being said in the opening and the closing sections.
here is the link to the record :
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GP92-LB1?i=602&cat=396079
“Year 1750 the 24 February the lawful estate of Cavalryman Erick Roos concerning the departure of his late wife Kirstin Larsdotter . . . widower Eric Roos, son Anders Roos . . . Jonas Nordgrens . . underage dotter (no name) represented by Joh Hamstedt (or is it Jonas Nordgrens that is representing her?) accounts are as follows”
I will appreciate any help.

Thank you very much. Aw . . . a software bug. That explains it. I have followed the link and I will restart my discussion question and post the relevant images.
Again . . . thank you for kindly helping me through this bump in the road.

@Joseph Eliason The image is not available from home on a public account. You will need to provide a copy of the image unless you find someone to help who is at an Affiliate Library or FamilySearch Center. Or, possibly someone who is a member of the LDS Church can view from home.
There is group for Nordic Research where you may find someone with the necessary language skills.1 -
I am perplexed. This link is to a FamilySearch database that I accessed from a home computer. Would an Arkivdigital link to the same record be ok?

@Joseph Eliason, do you have an LDS or a public account on FS? Áine and I are both non-LDS, and we both get the "FSC or AL" message for that film. There may very well exist a third option, of "sign in with an LDS account", but they stopped displaying that years ago. Unfortunately, this secretiveness about permissions is damaging both ways: nobody can ever tell for certain whether an image will be accessible for other people or in other locations.
I don't know whether Arkivdigital requires an account or payment or not; if it doesn't, then yes, a link to the document there would work.

Thank you for your reply. I didn't realize the difference between a non-LDS and LDS account permissions. You are correct that this certainly complicates things. I have tried a simple paste of an image of the record and I keep getting a "permissions problem" with that. I even tried to paste a picture of my family as a test. It was also refused as a permission problem! I have pasted images into the discussion box in the past with success. Are you aware of any means to copy and paste an image of this 400 hundred year old document?
Arkivdigital does require an account. I will try riksarkivet, but I don't know where they have probate records.

@Joseph Eliason The option to paste or attach images here has been broken for several months. There is a workaround posted in a few places. This link will give you the details.

@Joseph Eliason When you post the image I highly recommend you follow Aine's advice and post in the Nordic Research Group. I was able to view your document and I have some experience with old German script, but I was not able to decipher much. In the research groups they have people with excellent skills at reading these records.

I have an LDS account and have no problem accessing this image. Unfortunately I cannot translate the document.

Thank you for trying. The Old German script is very challenging. I will try the Nordic group
