Tagging photos

Lately, I have wanted to add a tag to a family photo that shows a group of family members. I can see that the person who added the original photo tagged one person in the photo but made the tag the full size of the photo, making it impossible to add other individual tags. I cannot edit photos other people have added so I am stuck with a photo with many faces that need to be tagged and am unable to do so. I message people and either they are now dead or do not read or respond to messages. What can I do? What are my options?

    Download image first. Try clicking the detach icon and reattaching to the name.

    @Kathleen Carnes

    I agree… download the image to your computer. Then you can upload the image yourself and begin the tagging process that you want.

    Never tried that. So you won't get an error message that the image is already uploaded?

    @Chas Howell

    As for your question about the potential of getting an error message, you should not.

    In this scenario, the original picture was uploaded by another individual. So if you download the person's picture to your computer, then upload it to your Memories Gallery (to then tag), it will consider this your picture.

    (I believe you only get an error message if you try to upload duplicates to your Gallery). Hopefully this makes sense. Good luck!
