When adding a memory to a family member's page, I always check to make sure the item isn't already posted so I don't duplicate the memory. I find it frustrating to go into my family's memories and see that there are several of the exact same thing posted by other people. Is there any way that I can edit/delete those duplicate photos? I would prefer to not delete my post because I always add a lot of information and detail that others don't always add when adding memories.

The only way you can prevent or reduce duplication of memories is to reach out to the submitters of the memories and discuss amongst yourselves which is the best memory to retain. Consider the value of the memories submitted. There might be value in keeping duplicates if one might be the original photo, which is damaged, but a second copy that has been repaired, or colorized. Think about how you could use these discussions to build your relationships with these living family members in the process of discussing these duplicate memories.

It's okay. Just because I reach out, it doesn't guarantee that the other person will and sometimes the submitter is dead so sorry, your solution is not a one-size-fits-all.
