Family Tree is a collaborative thing. so if you are 100% sure you are looking at the correct profile you are free to fix any error you may find (obviously ensuring that sources already in place don't contradict your changes, and that you add sources as necessary to verify your entries).
In many such cases, the profiles are fine and it's just the relationships that require correction.
You can contact the relevant contributor(s) (by clicking on their usernames), though they won't always reply. You can also add notes/alerts/discussions to profiles if you wish.

Another thing to keep in mind - Family stories and memories often become 'sanitized' and sometimes changed for polite society. Use these stories as starting points to find contemporary sources to corroborate, clarify, and correct the FS entry. If you have to 'force' the sources to fit - they may belong to another family. Be willing to change the family story you were raised with…
A preponderance of contemporary sources definitely outweigh 20-50-100 year old family stories.1
