Great-Great-Grandmother name was changed by someone not in our family
Good afternoon to all, we recently noticed that my Great-Great Grandmothers name was changed from what we have had it as. The spelling of the name came from my grandfather. The person who made these changes is not a part of our family as I have asked them directly.
The temple ordinances were done for my grandmother in recent years. With my aunt having done them and having a record of them. The new name change made it so that the old name that we had got deleted along with the ordinances that were done by my aunt. The person in question deleted the old name and merged the data that we had with the new name.
Is there a way to fix this or is there a way to make so that changes need to be approved by family members?
Thank you

If you post the ID of your g-g-grandmother, then people can take a look at her profile and the change log, see exactly what happened, and tell you how to reverse the changes. It should be easy to do.
There was apparently a change in relationships, not simply a merge because ordinances are always preserved in a merge and would still be there.
This can happens when two people of similar name profiles get confused because there is insufficient information and sources on the profiles. Looking at the profile will also let people give on advice on how to prevent this from happening again.
