Locate parents marriage licence in Georgia that does not seem to exist.
My late parents eloped to Brunswick, Glynn County, Georgia and was married on August 27, 1949. I have searched literally, every online index I can find. They do not seem to exist. I have 4 solid Log pages of my searches. Can someone help me or advise me where to go from here. I have even literally called every County in Georgia before I found a record of their's giving the date and city. Their name is William Horace Evans and Evelyn Ailine Page.

Modern records for Georgia are rather tightly held. And, yes, 1949 is rather modern.
You might find a newspaper reference to the license being issued, but it was also possible to request that the city not publish the reference, in the case of an elopement.
Not everything is online. It's possible you will only get a copy by paying the city/county for a paper or digital copy.
You may want to post in the Southern States group. Someone else may have another idea or may be local to Brunswick and be able to help.

Did a quick search of newspapers.com and I don't see anything in 1949 in Georgia about their marriage. If they lived outside of Georgia there may be an article in a local newspaper about the marriage. I've seen that with some of my West Virginia and Ohio family who went to Kentucky to get married.
I'll also echo the above, and suggest that you contact the county/state health department and ask about getting a copy of the marriage license/certificate.

The Digital Library of Georgia (hosted by the University of Georgia's GALILEO system) has been digitizing local newspapers at a site called "Georgia Historic Newspapers" which is free to all over the internet.
Glynn County Newspapers "Issues are available from 1837 to 2024" which includes your target date; the link below takes you to the Glynn County newspaper listing.
Good luck with various searches!
