How do I get my Family Search Icon button back onto my Ancestry account?
I used to have the Family Search Icon button on my Ancestry pages so I could check the accuracy of my entries between the two programs and transfer information between them. For some reason about a month or two ago all of my Family Search Icons on Ancestry disappeared and I couldn't get them back. I first called Ancestry, but they had no idea what I was talking about (probably because the general helpline people aren't aware of how LDS accounts work). I then called Family Search and they say that it is an Ancestry problem and they can only help me transfer my information if I have the Icons on my Ancestry pages. I've tried unlinking the accounts and then re-linking the accounts. That worked for a little while, but then the icons disappeared again after about a week. I tried linking and unlinking the accounts again, but this time it didn't work. Does anyone know what I should do or try next?

I have reviewed this post and would like to know if the information given resolved your issues? If you could let us know if you still need help or not I will try to get you what you need. I never noticed the icon on Ancestry before. I noticed that it is on individual profiles, not the tree itself. Thanks for asking about it?

Michael, thank you for following up on my question. I did go to the suggested article and I don't remember what I did, but most of the Family Search icons for the people in my tree came back and I haven't had a problem since then. However, I still haven't been able to get the icons to reappear on my own profile page or on the profile pages for my husband, my children, my siblings, nor for my sibling's children. My husband's parents however still have the Family Search icon on their profile page. I don't understand and I would still like help getting the icons back onto the profile pages where they haven't returned yet, but I am extremely happy to at least have had the icons return to most of my profile pages. https://support.ancestry.com/s/article/Church-of-Jesus-Christ-Ancestry-Membership?language=en_US
