Adoption research from the 1900's
Trying to discover my adopted grandfather's genetics. All I've found is the 1910 census saying he's an adopted son and born in 1907. Any chance someone has a clue where to go from there? Thanks

@Belinda4640 You might want to ask this question in the Adoption Research Group.

To give a good answer to your question, @Belinda4640, the location is important. Some states still do not allow access to adoption records. And, again, depending on where, the adoption process may have been informal, without much of a paper trail. It may have been processed through a church or hospital, rather than a government process.

Your DNA can be used to help identify his family. Have you or a relative closer to him done a DNA test? If so, I would be glad to help if you want to message me.
