Using LiDAR to find possible covert grave sites on property
I'm trying to utilize LiDAR to look at a piece of property to see of there are any subsurface indicators of possible covert unmarked graves. Does anyone have any experience with this technology for genealogical purposes? If so, is there a specific online resource (and how to) for using LiDAR for this purpose?

I don't have any experience with LiDAR, but from some brief internet research, it doesn't seem like LiDAR can see through the ground. So unless there's something I'm missing, I don't think it could be used for the purpose of finding graves.
There does seem to be another technology called ground-penetrating radar that could possibly do it, but I know less about that than I do about LiDAR.

I had a Ground Penetrating Radar survey done at our cemetery last year with mixed results. Newer graves with vaults were easily detected. Graves from around 1905, that likely had wooden coffins, were not detected.
