I have been to this community forum area several times since I acquired my account. I want to share I will no longer need this place because I found out OpenAI's ChatGPT4.0 reads ancient handwriting well enough. It is not perfect. I hope this mention reduces staff & volunteer hours and/or maybe FS incorporates a chatgpt feature to this forum or to your general website for such speedy translations.

Have you tried the new Full Text Search? it runs AI on handwriting. Right now it runs on only specific collections of images but FamilySearch is adding more as fast as possible. You are not yet able to submit your own image for reading, though, so thanks for sharing that ChatGPT can do that!
