Rose (Gillan) Blair died May 2, 1921, in Aird, County Antrim. She was a member of the Church of Ireland.

  1. Were there obituaries there at the time of her death? If so, best place to look?
  2. Is there a Church of Ireland in her county that was there in 1929….or where to look for a death record?

Thanks much, Bonnie Samuel

You have listed 2 different years. Using the 1921 date, Rose Blair's death record can be found on GRONI (General Record Office of Northern Ireland), Number D/1921/17/1003/10/56 You can obtain a copy from GRONI for a small fee.

Rose Blair 2nd May 1921 84 Female Ballycastle

Death notices in 1921 might be hard to come by, given the great civil unrest in Ireland at that time. The best options are FindMyPast and the Irish News Archives: https://www.irishnewsarchive.com/
