On a muted chat, you should see the option to Unmute if the person still has an account on FamilySearch.

Do you need to know the name of the person? I cannot see the original chat or name. Can you view the message you muted? I found all my other chats but not the muted one.

Your chats are private. I don't need the name of the person because no one can see it but you and possibly support staff.

@Betseylee Browning I found a knowledge article that might help you. https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-mute-hide-or-block-someone-from-chatting-with-me
Let me know if that helps.

@Les Woods Can you give us more information? What exactly do you see when you try to access your chat? Screenshots would be appreciated. You can add them to your comment by following the workaround described in this post:

When I go to the chat I get the following:
Access Restricted
FamilySearch Chat is not available due to legal restrictions.
That is as far as I get, I cannot see my old chats neither can I contact anybody else.
Thanks for your help.

@Les Woods, check your date of birth on your FS profile and make sure it is correct. If it is missing (for some unknown reason) you may be restricted because the system believes you are of too young an age to have access to "chat" I had this issue with someone in the FSC last week.
