I was trying to separate Wash & Grace Kinney from the household above them and create a new group. After I dragged their names to a new group, their records totally disappeared. I've tried adding new records for them but they aren't getting saved. Can someone help?

The Community platform software has issues with URLs/links. Here is the repaired link: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHK-9QHW-1S5T Each : (colon) in the link gets replaced by %3A. That change makes the link non-functioning.
The bigger issue in your post, @J.E. Brown, is the ongoing issue with the record viewer/editor. You'll find MANY threads on the topic here in the community. When a user makes a correction to the index, the index disappears. We've been told engineers are working on a fix, and that the index should eventually reappear.
