First time indexing Canadian Federal Census.
I want to ensure I'm indexing this batch correctly before going further. Advice, please.

From the Project Instructions: Often, the census transcriber added additional notations on top of the
existing census information. Do not index such notations in the fields.
Do your best to read the original census information covered by the
additional notations.2 -
Hello, I am new to this and hope this is where I can ask a question.
Regarding the Home Value: I see BB or (02) - do I add these to the indexed records? If so what does BB represent?
Thank you

I don't know what BB means but entering the Home Value would be needed only for the Owner, per the PI. More than that, the genealogical researcher should be able to see the entire document and could use any information found to help identify a particular person. The Home Value wouldn't affect identity in any way I can think of. Also the BV in the construction column means Brick Veneer as opposed to actual stone.

In answer to the question about BB or (02), if you think it was added by someone else after the original entry was written, you don't key it, but if you think it is what was originally written, you do. Or if you think it originally said 02 and then the parentheses / brackets were added later, you would just type 02. Hope that makes sense.
