Document 2 of image 1 has an overlay which is a "Personal Description Form". The only additional information that is given is the sex. The previous indexer indexed this with some errors (recorded nationality and left off the name change). I think I should delete entry 2 of image 1. On image 2, did I index the name correctly? I am uncertain about the GN and SN order in Chinese names.

Thanks!

Both images should have just a single entry: the Oath for Joseph Manuel Saldana on image 1, and the Petition for Quang Yik Mah on image 2.

The Given Names field's instructions say, in part: "If you cannot determine if a name is a given name or a surname, type it in this field". Similarly, the Surname field instructions say: "If you cannot determine if a name is a given name or a surname, type it in the Given Names field". Based on the famous cellist's name, I agree with the indexer that Mah is the surname here (i.e., the forms are filled out in "Western" order), but I don't think it'd be wrong to just put everything in the Given Names field, if you feel doubtful about that categorization.
