Changes in tagging memories

The new tagging process is terrible. I jumped through all the hoops and then when I entered the person's PID number in the tag field, it treats it like a name and wants you to add it. Totally useless. You would think that FamilySearch SHOULD be able to find their own records by THEIR own control numbers (PIDs).
Maybe the Tag field that opens up should have an option to "tag by name" or "tag by ID". The new list of names in alphabetical order doesn't help if you are tagging a new person.

I like the idea to have an option of Tag by Name or Tag by ID. About 30% of the time, FamilySearch can't find the right person (I have no idea why not), so using the ID would be faster.

I think they failed to program the tagging feature properly. When you click on the memory to tag someone, the popup box that says tag people instructs you to "Filter by name OR find by ID"…….however, when you enter a valid ID number, the field treats the ID like ordinary text and wants to add it like a new name, so the box should read, "Enter name" OR….they should correct the logic in the tag box and actually recognize an ID number.
Having to enter a fake name or ID, then click "add new", then going to the fake tag on the right, clicking the drop down, then click "attach to family tree", AND THEN inputing the ID……..is really poor logic and quite cumbersome.

What I dislike about tagging is when you click to tag, a box pops up with an alphabetical list of everyone you've ever tagged. The first person on my list happens to be someone I'm not even related to, and his face shows up every single time I'm tagging someone. (Honestly, I don't want to look at him anymore. I don't even know the man.) I know that I can start typing a name in that list and it will find that person for me, but it used to do that without showing a box of people. Please make that box go away or make it an option to turn it off. With the amount of tagging I do and people I add, I find it un-useful.
