I tried to search the new Slovakia church records indicated above, but the film number seems to be incorrect, 1554443?

Wow, I just came across many, many people in Slovakia who share my Grandfathers last name. I only clicked on the list because I visited Bratislava and loved it.
Time to do a deep dive!

Nora Squire, Bermuda isn't showing up for me either when I search records by area, but on the research wiki for Bermuda you might find what you're after: https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Bermuda_Genealogy

Tried to post (didn't take) but will post again. Clicked upon the Agrigento, Italy (1820-1865) link but could not access the actual records. A pop up said that I had to be a member of the LDS church (I am not) or travel to a center to use the church's computers. I have waited for 7 years to be able to access via my home computer with no progress being made on that front. A caveat needs to be added to let persons know that they might not be able to access these free records unless they meet the criteria mentioned.

Absolutely Fabulous! Family Search is a daily place to be for me. I love to fill in my ancestors' profiles with information provided by new sources. In piecing together facts I can see what each person has gone through in his or her life and feel close to them. I feel them nearby. Thank you, Family Search, for continually increasing the sources of information for people so that we can know as much as possible about them.

@Mary37642 If your Matthew was born in Kentucky in 1927, here's a link to his page.

    https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/G3D6-J1G

There are several people who have made changes to his record and his parents' records. You can send them individual messages through FamilySearch. They are likely your relatives and can give you more info on the family.

LOOKING FOR OWEN CALOREN/ CALORAN …. TRYING TO TRACK HIS IRISH ORIGIN. FOUND HIM IN IROQUOIS VILLAGE, ONTARIO, CANADA IN BOTH 1851 & 1871 CENSUS. NOTHING AFTER, NO DEATH DETAILS, NO IMMIGRATION DETAILS BEFORE. HE APPARENTLY DID JOIN THE ROYAL DUNDAS MILITIA & WAS LISTED ON A PAY FORM IN 1838 ……. IF IT WAS HIM. NO INFO TO WORK WITH THERE. HE HAD THREE SONS WHO JOINED THE IROQUOIS GARRISON ARTILLARY & FOUGHT IN A FENIAN RAID IN 1870 ( REC'D MEDALS ). MY FOREMOST SEARCH IS TO FIND HIS BIRTH IN IRELAND ….. ALL CENSUS FORMS LIST HIS BIRTH THERE. AND TO DIG UP HIS IMMIGRATION DETAILS. THERE IS AN OWEN CALOREN WHO WAS ON A SHIPS PASSENGER LIST IN 1847 BUT IT SEEMS UNLIKELY IT WAS MY OWEN AS HE WOULDN'T HAVE HAD THE LUXURY OF A PLEASURE TRIP IF HE HAD ALREADY BEEN IN CANADA PRIOR TO THIS LIST DATE.

HE WAS BORN 1813 ….. MARRIED AN AMANDA …. HAD THREE SONS: JOHN, GEORGE & TIMOTHY. WOULD LIKE TO LOCATE HIS PARENTS.

ANY DIRECTION OR THOUGHTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. tcloran@cogeco.ca

AS MANY OF THE POTENTIALLY HELPFUL DOCUMENTS FROM IRELAND HAVE BEEN LOST IN FIRES, IT MAKES THIS AN UPHILL BATTLE.
