Good morning @Pamela9928 Thank you for editing your post with details.
That marriage is from 1843, rather than 1943. That source reference is to the
The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record (quarterly), 1932, selected extracts
not to a copy of the marriage record.
That issue of the NYG&B Record is volume 63. It is not indexed, but it is digitized and available to scroll through on DGS 7832061, Item 2: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS3W-R3VP-1
Best of luck with the search.

Thank you Aine…I did indeed type in the incorrect year.
So that is only an extract, not a copy of the marriage record?
Perhaps I can get the marriage record from the City of New York? I
will try that. I will also scroll through the issue of NYG&B.

I doubt seriously that the City of New York will have a marriage record. There are numerous online indexes to the the city's holdings of marriage records, and that couple does not appear in any of the many I checked.
The reference in the NYG&B Record is more likely to a record in a church register. I would recommend finding the reference in the Record to see if there is any additional detail. You might also contact the NYG&B to see if they can shed further light. Their website: https://www.newyorkfamilyhistory.org/ with email and telephone at the foot of the page.
Best of luck.

I looked in one more location and found a reference to the marriage. There is a book index of marriage notices from the "New York Herald," and there is a mention of that marriage in the book. There is no additional detail in the book, but there may be in the newspaper notice. Ancestry share link to the index from the book.
And here's a link to the notice of the wedding in the "Herald." Not much more info, but you do get the name of the bride's father and the minister who performed the ceremony.
