My Relative search in Cemeteries Search does not work
I have been trying the new Cemeteries Search. However, too many times the My Relatives button just says 'too many matches'. I have to select a cemetery first before it actually checks for relatives. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I am in Australia if that matters.
Also, is there a way the page can let you know it is working in the background. Some of the searches take a while to return results and you think the search has failed.

Many search engines will require that you narrow the search.

Do you narrow your search by states and territories? Like the states of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia;

Try Find A Grave. I have good results with it.

If you are using the cemetery search which is available from the Search / Cemeteries menu item (it has a rather gloomy banner), you might like to try the alternative cemetery search which is available via the Activities / All Activities menu item (it's in the "All about your ancestors" section and has a brighter appearance). It works somewhat differently, and lists the burials in order of distance from a location which you can specify and doesn't have to be a cemetery. It may be that this search will provide some actual results for you.
The two searches can return different sets of results for a given cemetery. There have been some other recent posts relating to cemetery searches which may be helpful, although it's not clear how either of the searches work. They seem to draw their information from the FindAGrave and BillionGraves collections within FamilySearch, but it's not clear how often and how robustly the collection information is updated from the FG and BG websites.

Yes, I am referring to the new and improved Search / Cemeteries page. I have been trying different things and if you click My Relatives off then on (sometimes a couple of times) the search for relatives works. It's very cool how it shows me my relatives in cemeteries around the world, in a location, or at a site.

I really like the "My Relatives" search tool under Cemetery searches. I have submitted a suggestion to FamilySearch that they allow the selection of someone, other than yourself, to base the search on. For example, even though my wife is in my family tree none of her relatives appear when I do a search under "My Relatives".

That may be difficult for FamilySearch to accomplish. Your wife's relatives are not your relatives. A good work around is to have her search for her relatives on her tree.
