Why, after I've added a marriage source in Sources, can I not attach it to the marriage itself?
As I search the catalog for my Italian ancestors and find Marriage Records, I attach them in "Sources". I then go to the marriage info in "Family Members" and try to attach it there but I am not always able to do so. Does anyone know why I sometimes can and sometimes not? I have tried to figure it out by examining if it's the way I do this procedure or what it could possibly be and I come up with nothing! Please help!!
Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, the way the Family Tree is structured, the Couple Relationship section is completely separate from its constituent parts. It has its own, separate Sources list, and Source Linker is only sort of connected to it, offering no user control over or visibility of its additions to that list.
I don't have very much experience with indexed marriages, so I share your impression that indexed sources show up more or less at random in the Couple Relationship section. Those with more experience say that there is actually a pattern to it: if you transfer/create a couple event in Source Linker, then the source gets added to the list. I'm not entirely convinced that that's the only circumstance with that result, however, because I keep encountering sources in relationship sections where I could've sworn that the event was not added via Source Linker.

I just put the source in my Source Box and apply and tag it on the Couple Relationship from there, then delete from Source Box. Works every time!
The Relationship Sources user interface is lacking in so many other ways too, not least that they are invisible from the profile Sources and Details tabs and that applying them to the Relationship doesn't remove them from the person's hints; both of which result in them cluttering up the Persons' sources, untagged, instead.
