Different page for viewing photo in memories?
I posted this in the New Person Page group, and they suggested that I post this here:
When teaching a class today at the FS center, one of the center computers opened to a different page set up when a memories photo was clicked on.
The goal was to download a photo from memories (select Action, then download photo) However one of the computers brought up a totally different page when the photo was selected. We finally figured out that we could download by clicking on the three dots on the right side.
It was confusing for the patron, who was just learning, and frustrating to staff to try to figure out how to navigate the new page set-up.
Is this a new look that is being rolled out? Do we have a setting somewhere that caused this? Any way to roll this back?

Sorry for the delay in response, but as of 6 May 2024, there is now only one Memory viewer for all users. There is no option to return to the "old" Memory viewer. In your teaching resposiblities, you and your leaners will now have the same viewing experience. However, several Help articles might still need to be updated. Also, I have included a general statement from the Engineers below. . . to help you understand why some users might have additional problems. . . Thanks for your patience!

"There is only one New Memory Viewer. As of 6 May 2024, FamilySearch has now made the New Memory Viewer available to all users. However, we are aware that for those who have turned on the Lab Experiment “Family Group Trees,” their experience with tagging people is temporarily confusing and difficult. Our engineering team is very aware of this and are actively working on the resolution. We appreciate your patience and understanding as fixes are being implemented.
Please continue to share your comments about the New Memory Viewer in general. We value and listen to your feedback.
Thanks!"

One more note that I wanted to pass on. . . particularly for you as a teacher/instructor. Soon, a video will be made available on How to Use the New Memory Viewer. When it is complete, I'll be sure to post it on this group's Home Page. Thanks for the patience! And for your help in teaching others!
