When indexing a Marriage License Docket, the instructions say to use the application date. The example shows the use of the marriage date. Which is right?

If there is a marriage date, then that date is used. Otherwise, it's the application date.

The instructions under Project Instructions, What to Index, last photo, tells us to use the marriage date if it is available and to put it in the application date field.
