How do I change my family tree?

My tree doesn't display accurately because one of my 2x Great Grandfathers is displaying a wife that is not part of MY family tree. I've gone to the individual and set the preference to the correct wife but the Tree still displays the other wife, even after logging out and logging back in. I'd really like to see where the maternal side of that family leads back to.

In order to draw trees through the correct mother, the key is to set the preferred parents for the child, not the preferred wife for the father. So in this case, you need to go to the profile page for your great-grandparent (the child of your "2x Great Grandfather" who is your direct ancestor). My guess is that he or she has two sets of parents. Set the preferred parents correctly, and your trees will then be drawn through those parents.
