How do I get the place changed for a whole record set in FS Records?
Hi!
I believe you have the incorrect village listed in the Czechia Church Records. I have submitted some proof in the attachment. But in "Records" the whole series is incorrect regarding the place. It is not just my person but the set of records. It should be Zvole not Zvoll. They are two different places.

It is not the Catalog but all the set of records were indexed with the wrong place. The Catalog is fine.

I'm sorry, but the link you posted is to unindexed records in the catalog.

@Áine Ní Donnghaile, keep in mind that the Catalog's only update in the past three years has been the disimprovement to its search algorithm. It doesn't know about recently-published indexes.
Some of the films on that catalog page have been indexed. Random example: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6VLR-VKX2. It has an Event Place of "Tschechien".
@Betseylee Browning, can you provide links to some examples of the incorrect placenames on index entries? My further random pokes have only turned up more of the overgeneralization.

In theory, the catalog has been updated, based on the ever-present banner.

Yes, as I said: the catalog has been updated with a severe disimprovement to its place-searching algorithm. That's the sum total of what has been changed in it in several years.

Here is an example Veronica Ramerth L5BB-DRP in her sources. This set of records are indexed but the place is wrong for the set. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89MW-Q95Y-5?view=index&action=view right side last entry for 1791. Thanks, @Betseylee Browning.
The new viewer/editor has miscataloged the film: it says Zwoll (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89MW-Q95Y-5?view=index&action=view&personArk=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3A6LQH-N3SQ).
The old viewer's cataloging tab and the waypointed collection have the correct placename of Zvole (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89MW-Q95Y-5?i=53).
The index detail page (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6LQH-N3SQ) copies the new viewer's error instead of the old viewer's correct data.
(I have refrained from editing the event place, for fear of attracting the index-eating gremlin and making things worse instead of better.)

Well, I hope the little gremlin gets fixed. I will look at the next catalog update to see if this gets fixed. Thanks for your help and everyone else who commented.
