Is there a way to use/link/share a photo from another site and give proper attribution?

I am wondering about the use of copyrighted or potentially copyrighted images. Is there any way to share them to FamilySearch as a Memory Source or as a Memory and give proper attribution to the image's owner in order to avoid copyright infringement?

For example, my 4th great grand aunt was the co-founder of a prominent boarding school in Connecticut. I have created a source for a news story the school posted about her, but the story contains some great portraits of her, and I would love to add one to her page. When I google her, the school's website is the only site that comes up with any image results of her.

Is there any way to use one of their photos without potentially infringing their copyright? I have created memory sources in the past with proper citations for the images (images from genealogical websites like ancestry where I was already attaching the source but I wanted to attach an image of the source as well for added context) but I have not done it with an image from an outside website before. Just want to make sure I do it right, if there is a right way.

You'll want to read the FamilySearch Content Submission Agreement.
