The Feedback button at the left in New Source Linker fails in Safari

The button or tab to provide feedback on the new source linker fails with an error pop-up message saying to visit the Community. Searching Community does not find anything about this specific problem, though there are other noted issues with Safari and other browsers.

The feedback I wanted to suggest would be a search for possible records when named persons in an obituary might be new or already known. If they already have a record with a Family Search ID it would be better not to create a new person, especially not knowing whether alive or deceased.

Safari 17.4

macOS Sonoma 14.4

The Feedback button is known to fail if you have an adblocker active. AdBlock Plus, uBlock Origin, Malwarebytes Browser Guard, and others are known to interfere with the Feedback button. Many threads on the subject.

I recommend that you post your New Source Linker comments in the New Source Linker Feedback group.

Thanks for that guidance. I don't have any add-on blockers installed, but Apple defaults to some ad and tracker blocking, so I suspect that may be the cause. Will investigate.

Interesting that my searches of Community did not find or direct me to the New Source Linker Feedback group.

Searching in Community is notoriously bad.

To find specialized groups, you need to go to this page (https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/gp-groups-en ):

and either scroll through the list or know the name of the group you are looking for and put it in the search box I've circled above.

You can read any post in public groups but can only write a new or comment on one if you have joined the group.
