be more like 400. I'm okay with that but will the directory go away when I get to 250 and leave the rest undone?

The batch, and your position within the batch, are automatically saved at regular intervals and will be at that position when you close the batch and return to it later. You can see when the batch was last saved on the upper left side, next to Step 2: Entries.

When you reach the 250, to finish the rest of the entries, you'll have to add records to the image. (This is in the Project Instructions) To add records individually, just click on "Create Entry ***" at the bottom of the indexing table. To add numerous records to the image at once, click on the icon next to the trash can. you can put in a number there. No matter where you leave off to come back to it later, the work will be saved.
