I have a two page naturalization document. I hit the split screen so both page are showing and take info from both of the pages. The only information from the second page is the date of the naturalization. I put this info on the first form. When I am done, I hit submit. It asked me if I want to check the work. I run the check. It shows a blank form for the second page and says that I am missing 42 items. I know that I have put in all information asked for. What do I do?

Please provide the project name and batch code - like this example: US, New York—Eastern District—Naturalization Records, 1891–1958 [Part G] [MQF4-39P] The part in bold is the batch code. Then please reread the Project Instructions and follow the examples given. If you still have questions, please ask. 😎

Most projects today come with a preset number of entries and when you have unused entries, you will follow these two steps.

Click the trash can icon on the toolbar.

    FireShot Capture 006 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.png

    FireShot Capture 007 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.png

This dialog box will appear. "Select All blank entries", then click Delete.

    For the second part:

The second page sounds like there are two parts--Affidavit of Witness and Oath Of Allience. The Affidavit is not indexed, but the record date is. Generally speaking, this page has three dates; the Witness date (meaning how long they've known the petitioner, the date that is indexed as the record date for the first page (this became a two page document around 1941). This is found in the witness section and starts with Subscribed and sworn to before me, and the Oath Of Allegiance date. The OOA is the the latest date, however, you will index the OOA as a separate document. OOAs are indexed with the name and the OOA date only.

If you are dealing with a record that is pre-1940, then the OOA is on its own page, with the AOW and the record date located at the very bottom of the page, after Subscribed and sworn.
