Multiple surnames on City Directories
I recommend more clarification on the following:
When reviewing the Surnames on the March 2024 City Directory project, I am discovering that more and more indexers when reading the following in the city directory
Freidman see also Freedman Freeman and Friedman
" David Jr (Gertrude ) (Empire Loan Company)
are indexing the following as the surname:
Freidman Or Freedman Or Freeman Or Friedman
instead of indexing Freidman as the Surname.
Please note that the use of OR continued by multiple variations is not appropriate for this project.
