Repository for enslaved people
There have been so many times I wished I could share with others the names of slaves I came across in family wills, etc.
It would be great to have a repository for this type of research.

Since FamilySearch instituted the "other relationship" feature, you can now link enslaved persons to their enslavers. If you come across enslaved mentioned in a will, you can do just that. First, create person records for each enslaved. You will leave the surname blank unless a surname is mentioned or if you know they took a certain surname later in life. Then you can link the people to each other via the Other Relationship option.
If you take the time to do that, please also take the time to update the vital information and other information areas with as much implied data as possible.
