Collaborate with Genealogical Societies
It would be a win-win for FamilySearch and genealogical societies such SAR, DAR, Mayflower Society and Jamestown Society if when someone finds ancestor on FamilySearch Family Tree to notify them that they are qualified ancestor for those societies.
To take it one step further, it would be nice if FamilySearch to also help build an application for these societies. All of these societies are the same, you must have an ancestor that qualifies for their society, SAR, a Patriot in the American Revolution and then you must prove your lineage to that person. So FamilySearch and pull all of the non-living ancestors with the source information (Wills, marriage records, census records, etc). The living ancestors the applicant can do on their own to protect privacy.
