Exceed Bandwidth Error when downloading historical records
Today, I went to the Granite FSC to look up and download some historical records that can only be done at a FSC or the FHL. Every time, I tried to download images I got the Exceed Bandwidth Error. I waited 30 to 60 minutes and still got this error.
On Sunday, I was at least able to download a couple of images before the error occurred. If I waited about 5 minutes, I could download again. The same thing happened the prior week and I think it happened in the main library during RootsTech.
There was a problem with this happening a few years ago and FS got it working again.
Can anything be done so we can download images again?
Thank you
Kent

@Kent Jaffa I'm at my Affiliate Library this afternoon. If the records you need are available at an AL, I'm happy to try to help.

Thank you for your offer. I think I am ok. I used copied the image with a windows command and got the images. They just do not have the same resolution as a download, but I can get by with them. I also wanted to thank you for directing me to the earlier post. I hope they figure this out soon.
Best Regards
Kent

Best of luck. I get to my AL and/or FSC about once/week, weather permitting, should you need something in future.

I had that happen to me at the FHC and I had not downloaded anything. The first attempt to download a record resulted in the message that I'd exceeded the limit. Volunteers were unable to help, saying they'd never seen the message before. I was also the first one to use that computer that day, so it wasn't a misuse of that terminal by someone before me. It left me thinking that perhaps restricted films were only viewable and that we aren't allowed to download images from them.
Can someone clear this up for me?eta: Answer found in another thread. Yes, they are downloadable.

According to comments Bandwidth Exceeded Message and Can't download record images (sometimes "bandwidth exceeded"), this should be fixed. If you come across these same Bandwidth Exceeded messages, please start a new post in the FamilySearch Center Support for Leaders and Staff group. Thanks
