How do I add an adoptive grandma to the tree?

She is not blood line related.

    Click on the child. In the right side column, click on "+ADD PARENT" and you can add as many parents as you need. You edit the relationship to indicate adoptive by clicking the pencil icon next to the child in the right side column. When you indicate the relationship is adoptive, that information becomes visible.

    Yes, the only option appears to be to add her as an adoptive parent.

    What do you mean by an "adoptive grandma"? Did she adopt you but the age difference was so large that she was more of a grandmother than a mother? Then you would add her as described as a parent and add notes or a story describing the relationship.

    Or did you "adopt" her as a grandmother in a heartfelt, rather than legal relationship? I this case, I would probably be inclined to add her under Other Relationships using Household, Neighbor, or Relative and again add good notes or a story to detail the relationship.
