Hello, it looks like the process has been updated since this article was written. I went to the National Archives which directed me to Travel State Gov for passports after 1925. It looks like it is now free to request a non certified copy but I do not see any information about providing a death certificate or an exception for ancestors born over 100 years ago. I only see an additional info for requesting records through the FOIA. I am trying to request 2 passport records for ancestors born over 100 years ago but I want to make sure I'm sending the info to the right place and included what I need while not making extra work for myself with having things notarized. Thank you for any help you can provide!
