Indexing Names w/ Business Name Not the Same as person
Working on city directory that is a mix of businesses and residents. First entry is Pullman Diner (Mrs. Viola L Burns). Next lines are marked as a family entry would be. How do I index this? Is surname Pullman?

The directory is alphabetical, right? What are the preceding and following surnames? If "Pullman" fits between them alphabetically (as I suspect it does), then yes, the surname is Pullman.

Thank You!
I realized that is probably the right action, after seeing an entry further down; and realizing that the following 12 people could not be "Pullman Savings". Although, in today's naming of children, it could be possible.
Thanks again,

@HK2 If I read the PI correctly, Do not index Pullman Diner entry - that is a business name. You only index the individuals having the Surname Pullman, such as Eva. Historically, (from my old-time memory) the name Pullman is used to describe railway (train) cars as well as particular eateries, cafes, or diners which may also include a bar 😎
