How do I change the status of a person that I created/listed on my family tree from a "Living or Confidential Person" to one that can be seen by anyone i.e., shown in FamilyTree data base?

If it's "living", then you simply click the pencil on the Death vital and change it to "deceased".

If it's "confidential", then you can't change it. What you can do instead is to create a new profile for the person, this time without making any mention of the "offending" part of the world in any field where the confidentiality bot will look.

You cannot yourself remove a confidential label. They are added due to locations in vitals of a person and other reasons. If you reach out to FamilySearch about a particular profile they can work with you to see if the label could be removed. It would be on a case by case basis using the guidelines they have for confidential people.

So, If I input the information, (that is not in the Familytree data base), of a relative I know to be deceased, such information is automatically listed as "confidential"?

@Ralph6980 Certain locations are considered sensitive, and profiles listed as living or dying in those locations are often marked confidential by the bot.

@Ralph6980 What Aine said is correct, the computer system does some confidential labels automatically due to certain sensitive locations, but it can be changed in some situations. One example is a US military person who died in a certain country during combat, it would be flagged by the computer as confidential but you could call FamilySearch and present your information and likely the label would be removed. It really is a case by case basis, but if you call it could be reviewed by a real person and not just labeled by the computer bot.
