Brief Life History and Tree show different spouses (John Voigt, MQ4Q-BDL)
John C Voigt Sr (MQ4Q-BDL) has Mary Voigt mentioned as being his spouse in the brief history information (which is the information that my family has, though no maiden was ever given), but in the family tree he is listed as being married to Sofia Frier. The three children he had are listed as being hers as well, with no other mention of Mary anywhere. Does anyone have any information as to why these would show up differently? Was Sofia also known as Mary?

John Voigt married Mary Derby, in Joliet, in 1868: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q28D-MQF9
You can view the image of the record at your nearest FamilySearch Center or Affiliate Library.
And, he married Sophie Freer in Will County in 1857.

John Voigt MQ4Q-BDL has 2 wives attached.
Sofia is listed as the mother of his children, and Mary appears to be a later wife, after the death of Sofia.
